Nova Scotia Teams Keep Struggling
Friday morning the Moose Dry took on the team from Newfoundland and Labrador. The Dry jumped out to an early lead with a pair of runs in the second, but was enought as the Newfs came from behid to score the 3-2 victory.
Dartmouth now faces MUST-WIN situations in the next game friday against Mississauga and Saturday against the Fredericton Royals.
The Halifax Pelham Molson Canadians were even lucky enough to get into the game before they were out of it. The host Chatham Ironmen put up nine runs in the first inning enroute to 14-4 thumping of the team from Halifax.
The lone bright spot for the Canadians was Cory Christie of the Sydney Sooners who homered twice off former major leaguer, Jason Dickson.
Halifax lost its opneing match in a much more competitive game against Windsor, ON Thursday evening. The two clubs needed extra innings to decide the game with Windsor ultimately winning 6-5.
Halifax is in the same MUST-WIN situation as Dartmouth going into the Friday night game against B.C., then turn around and face Manitoba Saturday morning.
